About:

Students and staff at Forest Road School recently got into the holiday spirit by donating more than 170 toys for the Forest Road PTA’s annual Toys for Tots drive. The drive started three years ago to support the local Marines Toys for Tots Foundation.

The foundation’s goal is to deliver a new toy at Christmas as a message of hope for less fortunate children in the community. New toys were collected over the course of a month for children ages 14 and under, including items such as books and electronics. The donations were placed in the school’s festively decorated lobby where toys lined the wall.

“It feels wonderful to have so many students and staff participating and giving back,” said Natalie Cange, PTA co-president. “We are very fortunate to be part of such a generous community.”
